Entry Level Automotive Technician

Thys Motor Company, is searching for an Entry Level Technician or Automotive Lube Technician who wants to grow their career. Responsibilities:

  • Perform multi-point vehicle inspections
  • Recommend services based on findings
  • Change oil and air filters
  • Inspect fluid levels
  • Check tires and pressure
  • Replace tires as needed
  • Flush fluids
  • Prep and inspect new and used cars
  • Other related duties as assigned

Experienced Automotive Technician

Thys Motor Company is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician. At Thys Motors our commitment to our customers and providing quality service is evident in everything we do. The Thys Automotive Family continues to grow and our shops in both locations are busier than ever. We need good people who appreciate small town service and values to keep up with demand.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform work outlined on maintenance and repair orders to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and repair in a timely manner
  • Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
  • Able to explain mechanical problems and needed repairs to Service Advisors and vehicle owners in a non-technical manner

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience or recent technical school graduate
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications preferred
  • Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram experience preferred, but not required. Will train right candidate
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
  • Hold a valid driver's license
